PCFC involved in AMHO's 2021 Budget Submission

Addictions and Mental Health Ontario's (AMHO) annual budget submission gives recommendations to the provincial government as they plan for the upcoming fiscal year and urges investment and action in the Mental Health and Addiction (MH&A) sector from a united voice. This year, AMHO reached out to the Patient/Client & Family Council (PCFC) directly to provide input on the needs in the MH&A system. Attached is a link to a short video that captures the state of addiction and mental health services, how COVID-19 has impacted these services, how more people are reaching out for help than ever before, and what actions the government needs to take to create the addiction and mental health system our province needs. You can also hear our PCFC community lead, Shannon DuPlessy, included in the video, giving voice to some of the challenges our peers are facing.
