Partnerships

Over the years PCFC has received a variety of funding streams and developed many strong partnerships with community organizations. Some of these partnerships include: Providing Peer Support on the regional (2007) and high secure inpatient programs (2014) at Waypoint Centre, the CMHA Transitional Housing Program (2014), North Simcoe Youth Wellness Hub (2018), General Community Peer Support services & family services (2019), the Solicitor General for Probation and Parole services (2020), a PCFC Pilot providing Peer Support in seniors retirement homes (2020), and Health Canada’s Substance Use and Addictions Program at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital (2022).

While each one of these partnerships require different skills, the foundation of Peer Support remains the same – to promote healing by building relationships among a community of equals, and by utilizing common ground to empower others to achieve their own recovery and quality of life.
